The Chirality Medal, instituted by the Società Chimica Italiana in 1991 to honor internationally recognized scientists who have made a distinguished contribution to all aspects of chirality, is awarded each year by a Chirality Medal Honor Committee composed of the Chirality International Committee members and the most recent recipients of the Chirality Medal. The medal is awarded to the recipient at the International Conference on Chirality.
We now open the call for the 2020 Chirality Medal Award. Each nomination should include:
A letter of nomination
An abbreviated CV of the nominee
No more than two (2) supporting letters from experts in the field.
Nominations should be submitted to kimb@tju.edu.cn before March 31st, 2020.

In 1989 the inaugural session of the International Symposium on Chiral Discrimination convened in Paris, France. At the 1991 session in Rome Italy, the Societa Chimica Italiana founded the Chirality Medal to honor internationally recognized scientists who have made distinguished contributions to the field of chiral discrimination. Over the years, the name has changed and its most recent session Chirality 2019 was held in Bordeaux, France last July 14-17th, 2019.
This year, Chirality 2020 will be co-hosted by Nankai and Tianjin University in Tianjin, China from August 20-23, 2020. The tradition of this meeting prescribes a 3 and a half day meeting comprising a broad interdisciplinary program of plenary, invited and contributed lectures, in addition to tutorial sessions and a special session to honor the 2020 Chirality Award Medalist.
